How to reach us

BY BUS

Taking the bus from the airport in Alghero

If you are staying more than a couple of days, we recommend renting a car at Alghero airport. It will be useful for getting back and forth to the airport and for exploring the best beaches that are within 4 and 7 km of Bosa. (Unfortunately there is not public transportation to all beaches.)
If a car isn’t your thing, no worries; there is a bus line that runs from the Alghero airport to Bosa.

Here’s the link for the schedule:

Where do I buy my bus ticket at the airport?

At the Arrivals exit, just before the car rental booths, you’ll find an automated ticket machine on the wall.
To find the bus stop, exit the airport from the doors by the bar and turn right. Look for the bus marked “Alghero-Bosa”.

How do I get from the bus stop in Bosa to Blu B&B?

Get off at Piazza Zannetti (the last stop), collect your bags and proceed straight ahead, where your gaze will inevitably be drawn up to the castle walls and the colourful stone houses: BLU is one of these houses that together comprise Bosa’s evocative medieval quarter called “Sa Costa”. At Piazza Gioberti (with its unusual fountain), continue directly up the street that ends at the big church in Piazza Carmine. From the church, turn right and follow the signs up the narrow, winding cobblestone street toward the restaurant “Borgo S’Ignazio”. You’ll feel the sensation of having entered into another dimension: pastel-colored stone houses; narrow, winding and intersecting cobblestone streets, curious cats that pass, meowing their “welcome”. It’s impossible to avoid being captured by the fascination and mystery of this place, unique even in Italy.
Once you’ve passed by the restaurant, proceed another 100 metres until you arrive at an intersection where the street rises on the left. Take the rise and follow it up, winding up to the right (look for the the old sign “Via Muruidda”). You’re almost there! Continuing straight, you’ll arrive at BLU on your right.

BY CAR

From Alghero to Bosa (driving distance: 53 km)

From the airport, follow the signs to Alghero, then take the coastal highway SP49, one of the most panoramic routes in Sardinia that takes you directly to Bosa. You’ll likely spot various species of wild birds and animals along this untouched coastline; make sure to keep your eyes on the road and don’t get distracted, especially if you’re driving at night.
Continue until you see the sign for Bosa, proceed to the rotunda and turn left, following the directions to “Centro”. Follow the directions to “Castello” (Castle); look up and you’ll see the castle walls presiding over the colorful rows of stone houses below. Our BLU is one of these houses which, together, comprise this medieval quarter called Sa Costa.
Follow the Castello road (Via Gavino Nino) up the hill, past the parking of the cemetery on your left. Around 100 metres after the cemetery, take the right turn to the Castello (Castle), continue to the entrance and finally, park along the wall on your left below the Castle.

Attention: A common mistake is to take the small road to the right instead of proceeding all the way to the castle entrance, because there is a small and yellow B&B sign posted. This is NOT our B&B and it is very difficult to exit this small road. You will find our sign, written BLU B&B near the castle.
There is free parking on the left by the castle entrance. In general, it is safe to leave your locked car here. The road ends at a number of wide steps that take you to a long ancient stairway of red granite. Follow this stairway down and turn right onto the second road; Blu B&B is just a few meters ahead on your left.

Note: Before the end of the road below the Castle, across from a building with the sign “Serbatoio”, there is another stairway that will also take you to Blu B&B. Take these stairs down, turn right at the bottom, then left again after a few meters. Take the steep, narrow stairs down on your left and then follow the cobblestone road for about 100 metres to arrive at Blu B&B on your right.

BY MOTOCYCLE OR BIKE

Follow the Castle Street (Via Gavino Nino).

Follow the signs for “Castello” and drive up the hill to the castle (Via Gavino Nino). Pass by the cemetery on your left and then continue up for a approximately 100 metres more. Turn right, following the signs to “Castello” and after a few meters, take the first right turn (Visa Montenegro), a narrow cabblestone street. You are entering the heart of the historical centre.
The road is narrow and bumpy; we reccomend that you pay careful attention and drive slowly. After roughly 200 metres, you will arrive at a “V” where the left side of the road rises and the right descends. Take the left, “Via Muruidda”, the old name for Via Montenegro.
Proceed for another 100 metres or so and you will find Blu B&B Bosa on your right.
